OUTCOME

TRiC were tasked with the naming and identity for the bakery. Baker of Things is a play on the term Internet of Things, eluding to the absolute possibility of baking, while adding a dry humour to the name, and sitting adjacent to the name Maker. It’s direct, bold and intriguing, with an evocative looseness. The direct logotype is paired with a memorable logo — four hearts (the things; baked treats, creativity) inside a cube (the oven; an enclosed compartment, precision, technical) — a simple graphic expression of “Baker of Things”. Colour also references the offering — blue is the exterior colour of their bakery in Richmond, butter yellow the baked goods. Together the brand elements create a unified identity that balances the precision and creativity of baking.
