The Le Royale identity draws from two publications housed within the studio archive, The Bayeux Tapestry (1974), retrieved from the library of the late Alexander Stitt, and Epicurean 39 (Les Mason, 1972). The logotype combines Linear (Fred Lambert/Letraset, 1969) with the classical elegance of Garamond, creating a tension between old-world refinement and modernist simplicity.
Deep red leather, a scripted ‘R’ enclosed within a circle, and a suite of tactile applications connect the graphic identity directly to the interior. Referencing the illusion of One Eyed Jacks and the iconic diner scene from Pulp Fiction, the system unfolds across menus, cocktail adornments, printed collateral and a custom kick-drum skin, adding subtle embellishment to the slow, nocturnal rhythm of the room.
